What's the difference between Agora Connect, API, and MCP?
MCP lets a person ask Agora a question directly, from the AI tool they already use, no setup beyond connecting your account.
API keeps your own systems current with what’s in Agora automatically, but it’s built for developers: you’ll need a dev team to build and maintain the integration.
Agora Connect gets you the same kind of automatic sync without any of that. Agora’s own team handles the field mapping and validation for you.
Does this replace my reporting or BI tools?
For most firms, no. Agora’s own reporting and business intelligence solutions already liveswhere your data is. When you do need data to leave Agora on a schedule, that’s exactly what the export and alert tools above are for.

Is my data safe when I connect an AI tool?
Yes. Your data stays inside your firm’s own tenant, never pooled with another customer’s. Every connection is scoped to your firm’s existing permissions, every action is logged, and nothing is accessible that wouldn’t already be visible inside Agora.
Will our data be used to train AI models?
No. Your firm’s data is never used to train any underlying model. Cortex uses a multi-model gateway to answer questions and do work, it doesn’t feed customer data back into model training.
Who can use the Agora MCP?
Anyone at your firm with an Agora Pro account and an AI tool that supports MCP.
What can't I do with MCP yet?
MCP currently gives you read access to your Agora data. Write access is on the roadmap. However, that option already lives natively inside Cortex, built with the right permissions and audit trail.
Which AI tools are compatible with MCP?
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot – whatever tool you currently with.
How do I get started with Agora's MCP?

Does the Agora MCP respect my account permissions?
Yes, every MCP request runs through the same permissions you already have in Agora, so you never see more through an AI tool than you’d see logging in directly.
